Culture & Values

Our values are the standard by which we select and develop leaders, evaluate performance, award recognition and invest in our people. We look for colleagues who hold the same values, because every appointment is intended to be a match between an individual and our culture, not only between a CV and a job description.

Reliability

The resolve to deliver on promises and meet the expectations of everyone with a stake in the business — dependable, consistent, and excellent every time.

Innovation

Take risks, explore new paths and think beyond the obvious to find creative solutions for customers — through diversity, collaboration and an open exchange of ideas.

Customer Centricity

Place the customer at the centre of every process and build long-term collaborative relationships — including acting on the feedback that shows where we fell short.

Honesty

Transparency, and treating everybody with respect, humility and fairness. No exception-making, no office politics — fair in every situation regardless of the consequences.

Learning & Development

We are committed to learning and development opportunities at every grade in the organisation. Programmes are built to be both theoretical and practical — creating room for practice, reflection and knowledge sharing rather than attendance alone. Abunayyan Academy delivers this across the Group: leadership programmes, professional development, succession programmes, technical training, digital learning, and specialised diplomas and professional certifications — supported by partnerships with globally recognised institutions.

Energy & Water Academy — training on the equipment itself

Our professional diploma programmes with the Energy & Water Academy have produced more than 160 graduates. Training combines classroom instruction with supervised workshop practice on pumps, valves and sealing systems — the equipment that operates within the Kingdom’s water and power networks. For many of our technical specialists, this is where their career with the Group begins.

Entry pathways into the Group

We extend learning opportunities beyond our own workforce to students and young professionals in the communities we operate in, through cooperative training, summer internships and research placements. A number of our technical specialists first joined the Group through these programmes.

Great Place to Work® Certification

The certification is awarded on the basis of employee responses concerning trust, inclusion, leadership and workplace quality. It provides independent confirmation of the working environment we set out to maintain.

Certified by the people who work here

Trust, inclusion, leadership quality and workplace culture are measured directly with employees across the certified entities of the Group.

Employee Wellbeing

We address physical, mental and social wellbeing as a single commitment, delivered through health screenings, awareness campaigns, fitness and health initiatives, employee support activities and workplace wellbeing programmes across the Group’s sites.

Health screenings

Periodic on-site examinations and follow-up support for employees across all locations.

Awareness campaigns

Year-round campaigns addressing physical and mental health, nutrition and preventive care.

Fitness initiatives

Team challenges, sports activities and healthy-habit programmes open to employees across the Group.

Employee support

Employee support activities and workplace wellbeing programmes, including the safety culture maintained at our operational sites.

Diversity & Multiculturalism

We maintain a work ethos of mutual respect, diversity and multiculturalism. Our colleagues represent more than 30 countries and speak over 15 languages, reflecting the regional scope of a Group that delivers water and power infrastructure across the Middle East and beyond.

Perspective as capability

A workforce drawn from more than 30 countries brings a corresponding range of technical experience and professional practice to the problems we are asked to solve.

Respect as the baseline

Our values require that everybody is treated with respect, humility and fairness in every situation, regardless of the consequences. That standard applies first to how colleagues treat one another.

Working in two languages

Arabic and English are both working languages of the Group — in meetings, in documentation, and in the channels through which employees raise ideas and concerns.

One Group, one standard

Sixteen companies across five sectors and several countries, operating to the same values and the same expectations of conduct.

Employee Events & Connection

Activities run throughout the calendar year: national celebrations, awareness campaigns, team activities and gatherings that bring colleagues together beyond their day-to-day work. These occasions matter more than their scale suggests — they are where our values are expressed in ordinary conduct, and they are how a Group of 16 companies remains a single community.

Our people

Leadership

The board and the executives behind seventy-five years of national work.
